So. I did not qualify in Florida. Serious shocker to me. First time since I started formula d that I did not qualify at all. Super bummed. I was doing good in practice too. Forsberg asked his spotter who was looking strong and he said I was looking top 5 for sure. Potential squandered. I really like that track too.
But- I got to do autographs like usual but wasnt stressed. Spotted for Essa as he got his first win and podium in fd so pumped for him. Did some random livestream stuff with kado. Random. Tommy through up. Ate a girls tuna salad. No really literally a tuna salad sicko. Watches girls ride mechanical bulls. Sang songs with the windows down (it’s a lifestyle).
I guess watching from that perspective sorta got me back to why I started driving really hard at times. In 2010 I was just always watching having lost and was super jealous and in awe of the drivers who would be the guys making the super exciting runs that really pumped up the crowd. Top 32 is sorta whatever but then Top 16 comes, you get the national anthem (which I think is played too often and is nationalistic in a bad, backwards way) but then also towards the end of the song, the cars fire up, maybe some fireworks to off, ugh that shit gives me chills when I watch man. So pumped up. Definitely need to make some stuff happen at jersey! Cool new perspective after spotting. The new qualifying format sucks (not why I did not qualify-just a random note). Also the judging is too black and white now. Subjectivity is getting ruled out. I guess that’s what you want if you’re a boring ass driver. So many battles were won because someone knocked over 1 cone. Are you serious. So weak. Also I hit the hotel gym in the morning. That’s ken gushi mid pull up.
